Roland Rubalcaba, 42, passed away on November 15, 2025, in Odessa, Texas.
Roland was born in Odessa, Texas on January 15, 1983, the youngest son of Richard and Senaida Rubalcaba. Born and raised in Odessa, Roland was a shining light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on earth was one marked by his hard work and the love he had for his wife and daughters.
He married Betty Ramirez on March 24, 2003, and was blessed with the loves of his life: his daughters, Khloe Isabella and Kassandra Jael. Roland and Betty enjoyed almost 23 years of marriage before his untimely death. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and all who knew him. While his time on earth was short, his legacy will live on through his daughters and those who loved him.
A devoted dad, he relished the time spent with his girls, whether on the softball field, hiking in the mountains, or camping out by the river. He was an honest, loyal, hardworking man who loved his family, his friends, and his 49ers.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Rubalcaba; his maternal grandparents, Celsa Rodriguez and Manuel Ramirez; his father-in-law, Juan Ramirez; and his grandparents-in-law, Felix and Lidia Neri.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; his daughters, Khloe and Kassandra; his parents, Richard and Senaida Rubalcaba; and his brothers, Richard (Kathleen), Robert, Ross (Nancy) Rubalcaba, and Jorge Ley and wife Sarahir; his sisters-in-law, Ana Calzadias and husband Ray and Suzy Fabela and husband Adrian; brother-in-law Alonso Ramirez and wife Aimee, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
His pallbearers will be Jorge Ley, Edgarth Benavides, Russ Galaviz, Octavio Martinez, Ivan Ley, Eric Urquidi, Carlos Sigala, and Robert Rubalcaba.
Honorary pallbearers will be Armando Medina, Armando Soto, Alfredo Armendariz, Chris Apodaca, Richard Rubalcaba, and Ross Rubalcaba.
