Rony Yousif Esek
Forever in Our Hearts
Born in Detroit, Michigan on September 10, 1976, his journey carried him from Michigan to California, and eventually to Odessa, Texas, where he made his home and grew into a man, we are deeply proud of.
On February 22, 2026, he was called home, leaving behind those whose lives were forever shaped by his presence.
He was the cherished son of Samira Najar Esek (07/20/1934) and Yousif E. Esek (07/01/1946). He shared a deep and special closeness with his mother, whose love and influence remained a constant throughout his life.
He leaves behind four children: Justin, Rony, Melina, and Samir Esek. He also lovingly helped raise four stepchildren Alice, Chanda, Justina, and Leila with Vanessa Nguyen offering care, presence, and support during the years they shared under one roof.
In his later years, he shared his home with Leila and his youngest son, Samir, age 13, who was the only child residing with him at the time of his passing. Together they walked through the rhythms of daily life, shared routines, conversations both spoken and unspoken, and quiet understanding that comes from simply being present for one another.
He held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren Aria, Dominic, Audriana, and Robert Jr. They brought light and joy into his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether through laughter or simply watching them grow he took great pride in being their grandfather. His grandchildren meant so much to him, and he loved them with a full and unconditional heart.
He worked diligently as an IT Manager at PB Materials in Odessa, earning respect for his knowledge, dependability, steady leadership, and love for his trade. PB Materials was more than a company to him he deeply valued the people he worked alongside and considered them extended family.
He lived with quiet strength, yet he never hesitated to express his love openly and intentionally. Through his words, his presence, and his unwavering support, he made sure those around him knew where they stood in his heart.
Though he is gone from our sight, his story lives on in all the lives he touched.
