Benito O. Carrasco, age 82, born August 10, 1943, passed away surrounded by love and faith.
Benito was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle whose life was marked by hard work, service, and quiet strength. He dedicated many years of faithful employment with Jones Brothers, where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic.
A man of deep faith, Benito faithfully served at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where his devotion to God and community was evident through his years of service and worship.
In his quieter moments, Benito took great pleasure in simple, meaningful hobbies. He enjoyed watching football, and had fun watching the Dallas Cowboys get beat and his favorite baseball team was the Houston Astros. He enjoyed building birdhouses, a reflection of his patience, craftsmanship, and appreciation for God’s creation. He also spent time working at Penwell Raceway, where he found joy in being part of the racing community and lending a helping hand.
Benito was preceded in death by his beloved family members: his Son, Jaime D. Carrasco; his Father Catarino Carrasco, his Mother Virginia Carrasco, his Sister Margie Carrasco, and his Brother Catarino Carrasco, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Erlinda Dutchover Carrasco; his sisters, Mary Lopez and Elfida Morales, his Children, Joel Carrasco “Jojo”, Benito Carrasco Jr. “BJ” and wife Esther, daughter Joanna Perrin, and son-in-law, Lloyd Perrin;
He cherished numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Benito’s legacy lives on through the generations he nurtured, the faith he modeled, and the steady love he gave to those around him. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, hardworking hands, and the quiet ways he blessed others and more importantly his love for Jesus and how he expressed he had Jesus in his heart on his last days on earth.
Rosary will be held at Martinez Funeral Home on Wednesday February 18, 2026 @ 7 PM
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday February 19, 2026. Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with officiating Father Chavez. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by: Martinez Funeral Home.
