Surrounded by her loving Family, On Wednesday March 25, 2026, Viola Rubio Martinez, 93 of Odessa Texas, passed away at Medical Center Hospital
She was born October 24, 1932 in Presidio Texas to Jose Rubio and Maria Mendias,
She was united in marriage to her beloved husband for 60 years, Mike E. Martinez , whom preceded her in death in 2009,
They lived in Odessa and in Alvin Texas, Where they would raise 8 children.
She is also preceded in death by Parents Jose Rubio and Maria Mendias, Brothers: Enrique, Jose and Tele Rubio, Sisters: Elizer Armendariz, Frances Morales, Gracie Carrasco, Grandchildren: Elaine Trevino, Susan Garcia, Adan Contreras, Bryant Contreras and Dustin Garcia
She is survived by and left to cherish her memories close to their hearts, are Three Sons: Mike Martinez (Virginia), Lupe Martinez (Ginger), Larry Martinez, Daughters, Gloria Conteras (Adan), Yolanda Paz (Jesse), Alicia Armendariz ( Joe), Lorine Baca (Ector Sr.), Martha Hernandez, Brothers: Victor Rubio, Roberto Rubio, Jesus Rubio, Manuel Rubio, Sisters: Lydia Mendoza, Olivia Covos, Elida Rivera, 26 Grandchildren, 70 Great- Grandchilden, 20 Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Many Friends.
A strong Caring and devoted Mother and Grand mother who will be forever missed, Love you Forever Our Beloved Mother, Grandmother Sister and Dear Friend.
Pallbearers will be Ector Baca Jr., Rufus Martinez, Lupe Martinez Jr., Joshua Paz, Larry Martinez Jr. Roy Armandariz, and Jason Hernandez.
A Visitation will be held from 1PM to 9pm Monday March 30, 2026 with a Rosary being recited at 7pm, In The Chapel of The Main Building of Martinez Funeral Home -The Dixie Location.
Mass will be celebrated, at 10am on Tuesday March 31, 2026, at St. Joseph`s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery The Rosehill section.
