Maria Del Rosario Hernandez De La Cruz, 34, of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, passed away on February 24, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas.
Maria was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, on October 6, 1991, to Santos De La Cruz Villescas and Manuel Hernandez Morales. She attended school in Odessa, Texas. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and a woman of strong faith who cherished her family.
Maria was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is survived by her partner, Abraham Ontiveros; her son, Abraham Roel Ontiveros; her stepson, Rolan Ontiveros; her parents, Santos De La Cruz Villescas and Manuel Hernandez Morales; her brothers, Juan Hernandez (Katrina) and Adrian Hernandez (Estrella); her nieces and nephews, Angela, Juan “Gordo,” Aaron, Abriana, Ruby, Amy, Yaretsy, and Itzel Hernandez; and other loving family members and friends who deeply loved her.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Hernandez, Christian Hernandez, Aaron Hernandez, Juan Hernandez (Gordo), Abraham Ontiveros, Noel Ontiveros, Martin Ontiveros, and Rolan Ontiveros.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Martinez Funeral Home.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

Maria nació en Chihuahua, Chihuahua, el 6 de Octubre de 1991, hija de Santos De La Cruz Villescas y Manuel Hernandez Morales. Asistió a la escuela en Odessa, Texas. Fue una mujer de profunda fe y devota miembro de la Iglesia Católica, que valoraba y amaba profundamente a su familia.
