Manuela was born on June 13, 1946 to Father: Federico Pompa Sosa/ Maria Feliz Sosa and Mother: Concepcion Choneta Valenica Baeza/Ramon Baeza She married the love of her life Ramon Prieto Vega on November 9, 1964 where they later welcomed three beautiful children Michael, Joe, and Joann Vega.
Manuela worked as a Seamstress doing custom Upholstery for many years of her life. Manuela along with her family opened a restaurant called “Don Ramon’s Panaderia & Restaurant in 1998. She was always on the go and a hard working person. After closing the restaurant she started making tamales and was well known for her famous chicken vegetarian tamales where she met so many great people. Manuela loved being with her family where she spent many summers at her lake house in Brownwood sitting at the dock watching everyone enjoy the evening, riding the boat, jet skis, and spending time with her grandkids is what she loved the most. She enjoyed hosting family game nights where she would love to cheat while sipping on her pink panty droppers and margaritas, She also enjoyed hosting swimming parties and she always welcomed anybody and everybody into her home with open arms. Manuela is proceeded in death by her Parents Federico/Maria Felix Sosa – Concepcion/ Ramon Baeza, her husband Ramon Vega and her son- Michael and Joe Vega.
Manuela is survived by her Daughter Joann Vega, Grandchildren: Tisha Ray, Chelsea, and Kayla Vega; 9 Great-Grand Children and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be, Ray Vega, Spencer Vega, Ray V., Derick Staats, Jayvyn Staats, Christian Ramirez, Nicolas Ramirez, Joe Rey Ramirez, & Ruben Llanez.
Public Visitation will be held Wednesday February 18, 2026, from 10AM-9PM in the inside chapel.
Rosary will be held Wednesday February 18, 2026, at Martinez Funeral Home ~Inside Chapel
Funeral services will be held at 10am Thursday February 19, 2026 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery ~Peaceful Gardens Section at 11:30am
