Gerardo M. Urias, 45, of McCamey, passed away on March 21, 2026, in Odessa, Texas.
Gerardo was born on November 5, 1980, in Iraan, Texas, to Armando and Ninfa Urias. He grew up in McCamey, where he attended school and proudly graduated from McCamey High School. On April 26, 2014, he married the love of his life, Melissa Torres, in Odessa, Texas, and together they built a life centered on love and family.
Gerardo dedicated his life to the oil field industry, a career he worked in with pride and commitment. Most recently, he worked as a Lease Operator for Apache since 2022. He was known for his strong work ethic and the respect he earned from those he worked alongside.
Above all, Gerardo was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ninfa Urias.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Melissa; his children, Matthew, Aiden, and Trinity, who were his greatest joy; his father, Armando Urias; and his brothers, Gabriel (Sarita), Fabian, and Ricardo (Brenda). He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Sean, Abrielle, Ethan, and Vasty, along with many extended family members and friends.
Gerardo will be remembered for his vibrant personality and the joy he brought to those around him. He had a deep love for movies, television, music, and especially seafood. He was always quoting his favorite movie lines, bringing laughter and smiles to every room he entered. His presence, humor, and love will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, in The Main Building and Inside Chapel of Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory The Dixie Location, with Pastor Joe and Sara Donaldson of Basin Church officiating.
The Family has opted for Cremation as alternative means of Burial , To take place at a Later Date.
