Remembering the Life of Vernell Fobbs

Vernell Fobbs was born on March 30, 1961 in Chillicothe Texas to Joe and the late Mattie

Fobbs.

Vernell attended and graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1980. During his school years,

he was an outstanding high school athlete. He participated in football, basketball, and track &

field. He also attended Vernon Regional Junior College for two years. At the age of 19 years old, Vernell set forward to start his entrepreneur journey in life. That eventually led hin to being the founder & CEO of a successful lawn & landscaping business, with the support of Tivola Fobbs  in 1990 Fobbs Lawn & Landscaping Services operated for 31 years, and severed the city of Odessa Texas and surrounding areas. Vernell was a very well known, respected, dedicated, loving, kindherteed, giving and hardworking man. Vernell was a very loving, kindhearted, and giving man. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Vernell was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Freeman and Mattie Hart, Father Joe Fobbs; Sisters; Ora Faye Hart and Atlene Fobbs Moore. Brothers; Joe Eddie Fobbs, Joseph Fobbs, Hoarce Fobbs and Cleo Fobbs. Grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Sport Wilson and Mr. & Mr. Joe Fobbs.

To cherish his memories, he leaves his daughters Lorene (Tyrone) Wolford of Abilene, Texas,

Porsha Bree’Anna Fobbs of Houston, Texas, Lexi Alize Fobbs of Fort Worth, Texas and son, Jauze

Givens of Oklahoma. He also leaves his beautiful bonus daughter Jamorah Caufield, and five

grandchildren. Siblings Odis (Sherrie) Fobbs, of Vernon, Texas, Reva (Larry) of Midland, Texas,

Tracey Fobbs of Vernon, Texas and Lorene (Roger) of New Port News, Virginia. Half siblings

Howard Calloway of Tyler, Texas, Earl Fobbs of Olney, Texas, Steve Fobbs of Dallas, Texas,

Angela Givens of Fort Worth, Texas, Tongula Steddum of Houston, Texas, Sandra Paul and

Teresa Fobbs of Olney, Texas and stepsister Vivian Paul of Dallas, Texas. Vernell also leaves behind ex-wife Tivola Fobbs of 35 years, companion Roshell D. Caufield,

stepmother Verma Fobbs, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
