Obituary

El Señor Sixto Silvas de Santa Elena, Chihuahua; Mexico fallecio el Miercoles,  5 de Abril de 2023 en Odessa, Tx.

Sixto Silvas nació el domingo 3 de Febrero de 1954 en La Boquilla, Chihuahua; México de Juan y Francisca Martinez Silvas. Contrayo matrimonio con Maria Carmen Marintez Silvas el Lunes, 15 de Septiembre de 1975 en Lovington, New Mexico.

El Sr. Silvas trabajo como mecanico en las plantas de gas y mecanico de motores diesel por 35 años hasta jubilarse. Aun continúando como el mecanico principal en Silvas Roustabout Services por 13 años hasta su ultimo dia de vida. A Sixto lo recordáran como un hombre de familia, el primero en darle la mano a cualquier persona necesitada. Fue un esposo, padre y abuelo amado. Tambien fue el mejor bisabuelo. Le encantaba pescar en su estanque personal y siempre acompañado por su hielerita de cerveza Coors. Su otro encanto era el estar rodeado de su familia;  asando carnitas, disfrutando de una buena comida, jugando dominos y “toma-todo” (su juego favorito)! Le extrañaremos para siempre. El fue la cabeza de su hogar, hasta la 4a generacion. Continúaremos con su legado.

Sixto fue precedido en Muerte por sus padres, Juan y Francisca Silvas, por su esposa, Maria Carmen Silvas, dos nietos Nathaniel and David J Silvas  por sus hermanos Guillermo y  Leandro Silvas (su gemelo).

Le sobreviven sus hijos: Frances Silvas, Luis Silvas, David Silvas (Ventura), Veronica Dominguez (Jose), 4 hermanos: Beto, Agapito, Juan, Thoedoro y 4 hermanas:s Macaria, Rosa, Simona y Dominga.

Sixto deja para que aprecien su memoria a 12 nietos y 2 bisnietos. Tambien ayudo a criar a su nieta Jannette Rodriguez, la cual amo incondicionalmente junto con sus 2 hijos. Ella ocúpo un lugar especial en el corazon de Sixto.

Las horas de visitacion estan establecidadas para el Lunes, 10 de Abril de 1pm-9pm con un rosario a las 7pm en la capilla de Martinez Funeral Home.

La misa funebre esta establecida para el Martes, 11 de Abril, 2023, en St Joseph’s Catholic Church, con el Padre Carlos Rodriguez oficiando.

El sepelio le llevara acabo en American Heritage Cemetery 4100 FM 1788, Midland, TX 79707.

Los portadores del ataud seran: Ramon Silvas, Ismail Silvas, Jose “Flaco” Dominguez, Manuel Orta, Carlos Rodriguez, Javier Martinez Jr., Anotino Carter y Lupito Lara (su mejor amigo) Antonio Carter

Sixto M. Silvas of Santa Elena, Mexico passed away on April 5,2023 in Odessa Texas.

Sixto M. Silvas was born in La Boquillas, Mexico to Juan and Francisca Silvas on February 3,1954. He married Maria Carmen Martinez Silvas on September 15,1978 in Lovington New Mexico. He worked as a Gas Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic for 35 years until retirement, he continued working as the main mechanic for Silvas Roustabout Services for 13 years until his last effort was made. Sixto will be remembered as a family man, the first person to give a hand to anyone in need of help. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and the best great grandfather. He loved to fish at his personal pond, of course with his little ice chest full of Coors, Having his family around cooking out, eating, playing dominos, toma todo was his happiness. He will be forever missed. He was the head of his family up to the 4th generation. We will continue his legend.

Sixto is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Francisca Silvas, his wife Maria Carmen Silvas,2 grandchildren Nathaniel and David J Silvas, Brothers Guillermo and Leandro Silvas (His Twin)

Sixto is survived by his children Frances Silvas, Luis Silvas, David Silvas (Ventura), Veronica Dominguez (Jose). 4 brothers Beto, Agapito, Juan, Thoedoro 4 sisters Macaria, Rosa, Simona, Dominga,

Sixto also leaves to cherish his memory 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. He also helped raise a granddaughter Jannette Rodriguez and loved her unconditionally along with her 2 sons. She had a special place in his heart.

Visitation is set for Monday April 10, 2023, from 1pm-9pm with a rosary 7pm at Martinez Funeral home Chapel.

Mass is set for Tuesday April 11, 2023, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Carlos Rodriguez officiating.

Burial will follow at American Heritage Cemetery 4100 FM 1788, Midland, TX 79707.

Pallbearers will be Ramon Silvas, Ismail Silvas, Jose “Flaco” Dominguez, Manuel Orta, Carlos Rodriguez, Javier Martinez Jr., Lupito Lara (Best Friend) Antonio Carter

Memorials may be given to MCH Staff, Interim HealthCare-Jessica Sotelo
