Rosalia 'Rosa' Ramirez

Rosalia (Rosa) Fuentes Ramirez, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on November 25, 2021, in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation for immediate family will be on Wednesday December 1, 2021, from 10:00am – 1:00pm and for guests from 1:00pm to 9:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on December 2, 2021, at 10:00am with Father Frank Chavez of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Rosalia Ramirez was born in Balmorhea, Texas to Pedro and Ignacia Fuentes on March 1, 1936.  She went to school in Balmorhea.  She married Eufemio (Memo) Ramirez on May 14, 1954, in Carlsbad, New Mexico.  She last worked for Wal-Mart, Odessa, Texas in the garden department for 5 years.

Rosalia is preceded in death by husband, Eufemio (Memo) Ramirez, Parents Pedro and Ignacia Fuentes, Siblings Hipolito, Abundio, Pedro Jr., Severa Saenz and Eulalia Maldonado.  Daughter Gloria Ramirez, Granddaughter Angela Marie Ferrales and Great-Grandson Nicolas Anthony Hernandez.

Rosalia is survived by siblings, Rosendo Fuentes of Carlsbad, NM, Santiago Fuentes of Pecos, TX, Sister Maria Chavez of Hobbs, NM, Children John and Alice Ramirez of Austin, TX, Dora Ramirez and Sam Acosta of Odessa, TX, Ricardo Ramirez of San Antonio, TX, Jerry and Emily Ramirez of Ft. Worth, TX, Cissy Ramirez and Robert Lujan of Round Rock, TX, Leo and Maria Ramirez, of Ft. Worth, TX.  Grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Brenda, Laura, Amanda, Marcus, Erika, Jaime, Javier, Donny Ray, Valerie, Melanie, Stephen, Hillary, Shyla, Amanda, and Josh, and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jaime Urias, Javier Urias, Jason Ramirez, Donny Carrasco, Joseph Hernandez and Justin Hernandez, Amanda Valenzuela and Marcus Ramirez
