Refugia ( Cuca) Anaya, age 89, of Odessa TX, passed away on 12-25-2020 in Odessa, TX.
The viewing will be on Wednesday the 13th from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday the 14th at Martinez Funeral Home with Mary
Emiliano officiating. Burial will follow at SunSet Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are made by Martinez
Funeral Home.
Refugia (Cuca) Anaya was born in Mulato, Chihuahua to Leonardo Anaya and Lucia Becerra Anaya on
August 14th 1931.
Cuca liked bargain shopping and going to garage sales, she loved her B.I.N.G.O (bingo loved her) and she
loved her family.
Cuca is preceded in death by her father Leonardo Anaya, mother Lucia Becerra Anaya, brother Manuel
Becerra, and her daughter Elida Willard.
Cuca is survived by her husband Simon Garcia, daughter Lucy, son in laws Pedro Peña and George
Willard. Her sisters Mary Brown and Elfida Amaya. Her grandchildren, Clavel Peña, Ivy Godfrey, Jasmine
Peña, Latoya Washington, Mariah Swearington, Pedro Peña, Robin Carta, and Ezekiel Peña. Also her 18
great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will greatly
miss her.
