Ramona "Mona" Torres Esparza, Beloved Mother, was called by her Maker, Saturday, March 25, 2023, during the early morning hours, at Odessa Regional Hospital, Odessa, Texas.
Rosary will be held at 7 pm, Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Martinez Funeral Home, 1040 S Dixie, Odessa, Texas.
Funeral service at 10 am, Friday, March 31, 2023, at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, 1321 W. Monahans Odessa, Texas, Fr. Bush presiding.
Mona was born in Ward County, attended Monahans High School, obtained high school diploma and attended Austin Community College, Austin, Texas. Mona married Vicente Espino Esparza, Jr., 1959, he fathered her so loved surviving children: Yvonne Lou Esparza, Austin, Texas, Larry Ernest Esparza, Odessa, Texas, Gabriel Edwin Esparza, Odessa, Texas
Mona is preceded in death by Parents; Manuel Torres Sr and Filonena Olguin Torres
Mona started her career at Travis County Domestic Relations, knew when everybody got divorced and their child support status. Mona then served as a state employee for Texas School for the Deaf, Bob Bullock, Comptroller of Public Accounts and Ann Richards, State Treasurer.
Mona was a member of the Salvation Army Home League, loved their camping trips and also was in the Red Hat Society.
Mona is preceded in death sisters Maria Sapata, Eva Cabezuela, Cynthia Sanchez, Manuelita Torres, brother Frank Torres.
Mona is survived by sisters Nancy Hernandez, Irene Dodson, Susie Bernard, Nell Guerrero, Manuel Torres, brother and Rosa Vianes.
Charity donations on her behalf may be given to Mission Home.
