Ramon “Ramonsito” Mendoza Jr., 54, of Odessa, entered the gates of heaven peacefully on July 18, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born December 9, 1967 in Pecos, Tx. to Carmen and Ramon Mendoza.

Ramon worked as a Journeyman Drywall Framer for several years, but his biggest accomplishments were being a loving husband, father, and Pop-Pop. He enjoyed family gatherings, walks with his grandkids, fishing, and playing Washers and Dominoes. His yard and the great outdoors were what he lived for. He ALWAYS had the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. He was a Dallas Cowboys Fan (and his wife still loved him). He was a cancer warrior, and a courageous fighter until his last breath.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his 3 grandchildren; Ramon Mendoza IV, Mason Luke Mendoza, and Baby Mendoza.

Ramon is survived by his soulmate of 37 years; Annabell “Shorty” Mendoza. His sons; Ramon III “Gordo” and wife Vanessa, Jesse “Checho” and wife Byanka, and John Daniel “Nano” and wife Brianna. Grandchildren; Eric “Boo” Hernandez, Jesse Jr., Braily Marie, Elisa Ramos, Brizell Rose, JoeRay, Aliyah Rae, Maddox Kade, Mason Ezekiel, and John Daniel Jr. Sisters; Sandy Hernandez, Elida Hernandez, Cruz Hernandez (Rogelio), Maria Lujan (Martin), Virgie Abalos (George), Brother; Rene all of Odessa, and Sister; Janet Mendoza of Round Rock, Tx. He was loved by 23 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
