Norma Brady

Norma Brady passed away on August 23, 2020 in Odessa, Texas. Graveside services will be on Friday September 4, 2020 at 10:30, at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. Vaughny Taylor of Central Baptist Church will be officiating.

Norma was born in Alvord, Texas, a small town near Ft. Worth Texas to Carey Roy and Mamie Elizabeth Timmons.

Norma was a nurse at Brownwood Memorial Hospital for four years and moved to Big Spring, Texas to work for Dr. Roscoe Cowper Clinic and at Scenic Mountain Medical Center for many years, she moved to Odessa, Texas after she married Dr. Clarence Brady.

She was a Baptist and attended Belmont Baptist Church in Odessa. She was a devoted wife to her husband and stay at home mom to her children. Norma was a wonderful caregiver and mother. she loved hosting family gatherings and always made the day special for everyone by baking candy and cakes or cookies. She loved to laugh and spend time with her grandchildren. She liked to make crafts, embroidery and sewing.

After the death of her husband, she went into private nursing for several years until she retired.

Her parents Carey and Mamie Timmons precede her in death along with husband Dr. Clarence Brady, brothers Jake, Orval, Autry, Ardith and Waymon Timmons. Sisters Doris Mosley, Frances Gray, and Marjorie Morris.

Jesus has come to get Norma and has taken her home to be with her husband. She lived in Odessa all her married life and left behind a son Gordon Brady, and daughter Gwen Hendrix of Odessa, Tx. Her grandsons Jason Hendrix wife Rita of Weatherford, Tx and Kody Hendrix of Odessa, Tx. Great grandsons/granddaughters Kyle and Kaden, Kaytlin and Abigail. Also, great great grandson Noah Hendrix.

Norma has numerous nephews and nieces, all of whom she loved as her own.
