Marilyn, 87 years, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Odessa, Texas.
Marilyn Fay Forsyth Teague was born January 16, 1932 to Richard Coke and Helen Gardys Armstrong Forsyth in Texola, Oklahoma. She married her High School sweetheart, Samuel Duane Teague on August 21, 1955 in Plainview, Texas. Marilyn graduated Valedictorian from Panhandle, Texas in 1950 and went on to receive her master’s degree from West Texas University in Canyon, Texas. She taught school in both Texas and Colorado and ended her 41 years of teaching as librarian at Bonham Jr. High in Odessa, Texas. She was a charter member of Resurrection Methodist Church where she served many years as pianist and was active in the Music Club.
Marilyn is survived by daughter, Lotus Diane Isch and husband Doyle of Bayard, NM, son Gavin Shane Teague of Odessa, daughter-in-law Terry Teague of San Antonio, Texas and Judy Teague of Chattanooga, Tennessee, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Marilyn is preceded in death by husband Samuel Duane Teague, sons Samuel Duane Teague Jr. and Daniel Wayne Teague.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Resurrection Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Berry officiating. Services are under the direction of family.
