Mariano Navarrete Jr.

Mariano Navarrete Jr passed away October 6, 2021 in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be held October 18, 2021 at Martinez Funeral Home- immediate family will be from 10am to 1pm and Friends and Family will be from 1pm to 9pm. Rosary will be at 7pm.

Mass will be Celebrated at 10:00am, October 19, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church with Father Bernadito officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Mariano was born in Shafter, Texas on October 18, 1946. He attended school in Presidio, Texas. He married Manuel Lujan, June 7, 1970 in Odessa, Texas. He graduated from Presidio High School. He worked as a field operator for General Tire for over 20 years and as a Truck Driver for 7 years. He loved the long drives. Always had a story each time he made a delivery.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served in the Army for 3 years and received an honorable discharge.

Mariano is preceded in death by his parents, Mariano and Maria (Chavez) Navarrete, his loving wife, Manuela (Lujan) Navarrete.

Mariano is survived by his children, Samuel L Navarrete and spouse Susie Reveles, Mariano Navarrete III, and Sofia Loya and Spouse Manuel Loya; Grandchildren-Alexander Chavez and Spouse Brianna Chavez, Enrique Chavez, Sebastian Loya, Zachary Loya, Brianna Fox, Clarice Navarrete, Andrew Garcia, Marisha Garcia, Serina Navarrete, and Matthew Navarrete. Great-Grandchildren; Savanah Chavez, Moses Chavez, and Julisa Chavez. Brother, David Navarrete and Sister Frances Simons

Pallbearers will be Alexander Chavez, Enrique Chavez, Sebastian Loya, Zachary Loya, Paul Simons and Joshua Simons.
