Maria Rodriguez Ramon

Mary Rodriguez Ramon, 81 of Alpine, TX, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family, on August 19, 2022, in Odessa, TX.

Mary was born in Alpine, TX to Felicita M. and Manuel Rodriguez on August 1, 1941. Mary married Alvaro M. Ramon in 1960 in Pecos, TX. Together they had four children, Joe Albert Ramon, Alvaro “J.R.” Ramon Jr., Debrah Jean Ramon, and Rodney Edward Ramon.

Mary had cultivated the kind of qualities which made her beautiful in God’s eyes. Her inner heart was the source of ones’ thoughts, attitude and feelings mattered to the people who loved her. Mary was a faithful servant of Jehovah God and Jesus Christ. She was a Jehovah’s Witness. As we mourn her death, we ask God to strengthen us as we pray. We will receive “the peace of God that surpasses all understanding”. The peace that God gives, calms our heart and stabilizes our thoughts. There will be a day when God fulfills His heart-warming promise to “wipe out every tear from our eyes”.

Mary was one of the oldest of 8 siblings. She is proceeded in death by her parents Felicita M. and Manuel Rodriguez, her infant brother Manuel Rodriguez Jr. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Alvaro M. Ramon, Children: Joe Albert Ramon of Rosharon, TX, Alvaro “J.R.” Ramon, Debrah Ramon Montez, and Rodney Edward Ramon of Odessa, TX. A wonderful grandmother to 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2 P.M. TO 9 P.M. on Thursday August 25, 2022, and from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. Friday August 26, 2022, at the Martinez Funeral Home in Odessa, TX.

Funeral service will be at 7 P.M. at the Martinez Funeral Home in Odessa, TX with Brother Roberto Valenzuela officiating.

A graveside service is set for 11 A.M. on Saturday August 27, 2022, at the Holy Angels Cemetery in Alpine, TX.  Celebration of Life Luncheon for Mary to follow at 1 P.M. at the Kokernot Lodge located at 1104 Loop Rd Alpine, Texas 79830.
