Manuela (Nellie) Espinoza Chavez, was born on January 13, 1950 to Maria Luisa Espinoza and Manuel Baca in Big Springs, TX and died February 13, 2020 in her home with family in Odessa, TX.

Nellie was preceded in death by grandmother- Conception Espinoza, grandfather- Ventura Espinoza, mother- Maria Luisa Espinoza, father- Manuel Baca, husband- Luciano Chavez, and son- Leeroy Espinoza.

Nellie was survived by daughter-in-law- Criselda Espinoza and her three children- Edward Espinoza, Alexandra Hernandez, and Jeremy Espinoza of Odessa, TX. Daughter- Delia Yvette and husband Koffi Assih of Holts Summit, MO. Special daughter- Shari and husband Michael Ridenhour of Holts Summit, MO. Daughter- Barbara Chavez and her three children Orlando Chavez, Luciana Chavez, and Jerry Spurgeon of Rolla, MO. Brother- Pedro (Billy) Melendez of El Paso, TX. Brother- Roland Rudy of Odessa, TX. Brother- Samuel and wife Anna Rudy of Odessa, TX. Sister- Toni Rudy of Odessa, TX. Sister- Daniella and husband Jose Villazanna of Odessa, TX. Brother- Jose and wife Danielly of Tyler, TX. Sister- Vicky Chavez of Odessa, TX.

Nellie was loved by all and a mother to many. She loved to garden, cook, watch telenovelas, and read her bible. Even until the very end, Nellie was grounded in her faith and requested she be played her hymns the morning she went home.

Nellie was baptised at Solid Rock Christian Church under the leadership of Minister Craig Rippy in Saint James, MO.

Special thanks to Pastor Dr. Farrell Ard with West Side Christian Church of Odessa, TX who will be performing the services for Nellie.

Special thanks to, Stacy Nevarez, for putting her life on hold to take care of Nellie, her aunt/godmother day and night.

Special thanks to, Criselda Espinoza, for taking care of Nellie, her mother-in-law in her final days.
