Manuel "Manny" Rodriguez

Manuel “Manny” Perez Rodriguez, 63, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on March 17, 2021 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa after a brief illness. Visitation will be held on Saturday March 27, 2021, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Home in Odessa with a Rosary at 10:00 am. Funeral Services will be held at Martinez Funeral Home in Odessa at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 17, 2021 with Father Bernardito Getigan of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at a Later date in Balmorhea, Texas. Manny was born in Balmorhea, Texas to Lorena Perez and Alberto Marquez on April 23, 1957. He attended school in Fort Stockton, Texas and gr aduated high school in Balmorhea Texas. He worked as a salesman and various positions in the automobile industry. Manny was a people person. He loved his sons dearly. He loved to BBQ and he loved his Dallas Cowboys. He is preceded in death by his father: Alberto Marquez. Manny is survived by two sons: Joshua Rodriguez of Dallas and Zachary Rodriguez of Odessa, a brother James and wife Terri of Fort Stockton and his mother Lorena P. Marquez of Fort Stockton. A grandson Mateo of Fort Stockton, 2 neices, Ashlyn and Ava Marquez of Fort Stockton and several aunts, Christina Bitolas of Pecos, Gloria Castillo and Ramon of Saragosa and Viola Olivas of Fort Stockton also survive. Honorary Pallbears will be his cousins: Abel Olivas, Norma Pena, Hilda Ramirez, Deana Castillo, Irma Villareal, Juan Castillo, Nancy Martinez and Myra Taylor.
