LeRoy Williams, 75, of Odessa, TX passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in Odessa. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 9am to 9pm at Martinez Funeral Home. Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 22nd at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Pastor Darren Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery - Odessa II. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
LeRoy was born in Lott, TX to Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Wallace. He married Dorothy White and graduated from Blackshear Jr. Sr. High School in 1964. He worked many years at Sears and Roebuck and the Inn of the Golden West.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the US Army. He was very involved in his church work at Bethlehem Baptist Church serving as Sunday School teacher, superintendent of Sunday School, Finance committee member, treasurer of the Usher Board, Chair of the Noon Day Prayer, and the brotherhood. He served faithfully in all of his church work until the time of his demise.
LeRoy is preceded by his wife Dorothy, his parents Jerry Edward Wallace and Ella Louise Wallace, two brothers Jerry Edward Wallace and William Coy Wallace”W.C.”, and one sister Pearlie Mae Wallace Jenkins.
LeRoy is survived by two sisters, Helen Louise Wallace Winfield and Fannie Mae Wallace Sutton, both of Odessa. Two sons Vince Wallace and LeRoy Wallace, Jr. (Betty) of Odessa. One grandchild LeRoy Wallace III (Trey) and a host of other relatives and friends.
