Larry Farris

Larry Wilson Farris was born on October 22, 1952 to Johnnie Mae Farris Roberts and Alonzo Bogoas in Odessa, Texas. He attended Blackshear Elementary and Graduated from Ector High School he went on to receive his Associates Degree from Preview College. During his years at (Preview College, he became part of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, Larry returned home and began working for Burt's Machine shop where he worked for 10 plus years. He later became a Butcher at Everybody's Grocery Store and worked there for 12 years. Larry also worked for ECISD 25 plus years as a head Custodian where he retired from in 2017. He married Cathy Green of Odessa, Texas. from this union two beautiful children China Sherlonda Owens and Salatheil Farris were conceived. He later meet and married Tamara Hunter and from this union came Quan Farris and Quentin Hunter. Larry was a very loving family man and was loved by many in his life. He was known for his good looks and his since of style which he got from his mother and aunt. He loved his kids to no end and would also give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his mother: Johnnie Mae Roberts, His father: Alonzo Bogoas, He leaves to cherish his memory daughter Sherlonda Owens, Son-law Michael Owens of Odessa 'TX, 3 Sons Saratheil R 'Farris, Quan D. Earns, and Quentin Hunter all of Odessa, TX.  Two brothers: Hobert Farris and James & Racheal Guyton all Of Odessa, Tx. 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
