A Service of Remembrance will be held from 6-7p.m on January 13, 2021 at Martinez Funeral Home
A Celebration of Life will be held on 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Hope Alive Church - 305 E. 19th, Odessa, TX 79761-with Pastor Cliff DeArmond officiating,
burial will follow the service at Ector County Cemetery - Odessa II Section

He entered this world on August 6, 1965 in Pecos, TX, born to Jose Soto Guerra Jr. and Rebeca Guerra. He attended Odessa High School and graduated in 1985. He married Delilah Silvas on February 20,1988. Shortly thereafter, he began his career at Medical Center Hospital in 1988 and worked there for over 32 years. He attended Odessa College for extended college courses for his job and received several certificates.
He is preceded in death by his father Jose Soto Guerra Jr. and niece Sara Pulido. Those left to cherish his life and memory are his wife Delilah Guerra, son Jose Luis "Joe" Jr. Guerra and wife Ruby, son Sammy Guerra and wife Verenise, son Anthony Guerra and wife Abby, daughter Felicity Guerra, sisters Sandy Hill, Diana Guerra, Debbie Baiza and husband Alfredo, Becca Guerra and husband Mike, along with 11 grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joe was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he was loved by many. He always made sure everyone was taken care of, always putting others before himself. He loved his children and grandchildren more than anything in the world and would always remind them how proud he was of them. Joe enjoyed barbequing for his family ,going to church, making puzzles, watching WWE, watching true crime documentaries, and listening to the police scanners.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. The family would like to thank MCH and all of its staff for their services. Paste
