Fermin Vasquez Jr., 83, of Odessa, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 in Odessa, Texas.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Fernando Bonilla officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery in Los Angeles Section.
Fermin Vasquez Jr. was born in Marfa, TX to Fermin and Cruz Vasquez on June 4, 1936. He went to school in Marfa and Odessa. He married Maria Saenz on February 12, 1963 in Marfa, TX. He graduated from Dallas Mortuary Institute. He worked as a salesman for 40 years. He served in the Marines and was awarded as Sharpshooter and Military Police. He was involved as alter server director, choir director and cursillo.
He is preceded in death by Fermin and Cruz Vasquez, Raul, Priscilla and Cindy Collins., Jacob Feliz Vasquez.
Fermin is survived by Mary Vasquez, Richard and Tony Vasquez, Albert Saldana, Gracie and Armando Gonzales, Jose and Erica Vasquez, Israel Vasquez. Brothers and sisters... Robert Vasquez, Francis Milietcher. Grand children... Richard Vasquez Jr, Christina Vasquez, Joshua Vasquez, Alex Saldana, Brandi Saldana, Demi and Daisy Saldana, Armando Gonzales Jr, Angelica Avila, Adrian Gonzales, Olivia Vasquez, Casey and Jennifer Collins. Great grand children...Jonah Vasquez, Richard Vasquez III, Ariel Vasquez, Mya Avila, Nelly Avila, Aria Gonzales.
