Dubelsa Villarreal Salinas, 87 of Odessa passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021.

Visitation will be 5pm-9pm, (Rosary 7pm) on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Martinez Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 10am, Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Reception following burial at El Gallo Event Center, 3472 S. Co. Rd. W., Odessa, Tx.

Dubelsa Villarreal Salinas was born December 21, 1934 in Agualeguas, Nuevo León to Virginia G. Villarreal and Leopoldo Villarreal. She married Guillermo P. Salinas on November 28, 1953.  She was a faithful mother and wife, raising six children to love God, be kind and giving, and see Jesus in everyone. She was a gracious Christian humanitarian and will always be our queen.

As a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, she served her Lord in organizing St. Anthony’s Legion of Mary. She was a Guadalupana member and served as a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound and the incarcerated. In the community, she served as a volunteer teacher at the Interfaith Sewing Community Center, Salvation Army volunteer and former President of the Southside Lion's Club. She received the Hispanic Excellence and Faith award for personal contribution to the enrichment and enhancement of our Hispanic Heritage through her talent and life style.

Dubelsa Salinas was preceded in death by her father, Leopoldo Villarreal; son, Gustavo Salinas; mother, Virginia Solis; husband, Guillermo P. Salinas;  and son, Guillermo Salinas Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Salinas Martinez and husband, Genaro; daughter, Soyla Salinas Jaquez and husband Lawrence; daughter, Sandra Salinas Hernandez and husband Johnny; daughter, Sofía Salinas Elmore and husband Everette; and son, Gabriel Salinas; 16 grandchildren, Rebecca Fiszhammer, Renae Martinez, Josefina Miranda, Marie Rodriquez, Cloudia Chavez, Nikki Salinas, Johnnie Whitmore, Charlie Pryor, Chism Elmore, Clint Elmore, Adrian Salinas, Celeste Salinas, Gabriel Salinas Jr., Andy Lee Salinas, Moses Salinas, Cheyenne Salinas; and 23 great grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Andras Feszthammer,  Andy Lee Salinas, Anthony Salinas, Chism Elmore, Diego Chavez and Mauricio Miranda.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St Anthony Catholic Church in Odessa, Tx., a source of great blessing for her.

The family of Dubelsa Salinas wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Chen, Medical Center staff, Home Hospice, Fr. Frank Chavez and office staff, Martinez Funeral Home, St. Anthony’s Legion of Mary and Guadalupanas, Rose Hill Cemetery, Town and Country Pharmacy, all family and friends.
