David Anaya

David Ruiz Anaya, 84, of Barstow, TX passed away on October 6, 2021 in Midland, TX.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm with a Rosary being recited at 5:00pm at Martinez Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue Monday, October 18, 2021 at 10:00am.  Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 1:00pm.

He will be laid to rest following the funeral Mass at Ector County Cemetery in the Rosehill Section.   A reception will follow the burial services at Woodson Community Center 1020 E. Murphy St. Odessa,Tx. 79761 for anyone that would like to join the family to celebrate David Anaya. Services are entrusted to Martinez Funeral Home.

David Ruiz Anaya was born in Barstow, TX to Guadalupe Anaya and Micaela Ruiz Anaya on October 30, 1936.  He went to school at Barstow H.S.  He married Luciana Barragan Anaya in Pecos, TX.  He worked for ECISD for 35 years.

David Anaya is preceded in death by his wife Luciana, parents, brothers Lupe Anaya and Jose Anaya, sisters Rita Padilla, Elvira Peña, Elisa Anaya and Carmen Anaya, granddaughter Diana A. Gonzales.

David Anaya is survived by sons Abel Anaya and his spouse Adela, Daniel Anaya and his spouse Estela and David Anaya.  Daughters Emma A. Galindo and her spouse Henry Moreno and Geneva Anaya. Brother Domingo Anaya, Adan Anaya; Sisters Eva Quintela, Maria Elena Campos and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Abel Anaya Jr., Rudy Galindo, Kelly Anaya, Anthony Alvarado, Christian Anaya and Caleb Maldonado.
