Cipriano Carrasco

Cipriano ‘Cip’ M. Carrasco 52 of Odessa passed away Wednesday December 22, 2021, at Plano Medical Center in Plano, TX. He was born January 12, 1969, in McCamey, TX. to Steve Carrasco and Ema Barrandey. He was a Christian Catholic and a machinist.

He is preceded in death by his mother Ema Barrandey Madrid.

He went to schools in Odessa and graduated from Odessa High School, He was a great in running track and won many medals and ribbons. He worked as a machinist for Allied Equipment for 11 years.

‘Cip’ is survived by his daughter Cori Nicole Carrasco, sister Joylynn Carrasco, brother Joshua Born, father Steve Carrasco, stepfather Rene Madrid, tia Lupe (Mage) Rodriguez, tia Ida (Demetrio) Baeza, tio Andy Andrade, Uncles Manuel (Carol) Carrasco from El Paso, Juan (Manuela) Carrasco from McCamey, aunts Elva Fernandez from McCamey, Elia (Fred) Wells from Fowler Ks. and Tina (Stacio) Zuniga from McCamey.

‘Cip’ also leaves to cherish his memory nephews and nieces Joel and Lizette Ornelas and Jovanna and Saul Botello, Mya, Joel III, Joeziah, and Jaymian Ornelas, J’Lynn Galindo, Joshua Perez, Saul Botello and Zulianna Botello.

Visitation is set for Wednesday December 29, 2021, from 2pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home outside chapel. Masks and social distancing are required upon entering the funeral home.

Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday December 30, 2021, at 1pm at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Fernando Bonilla officiating. Masks and social distancing are required at the church. Cremation will follow.

Pallbearers will be Joel Ornelas, Saul Botello, Frank Rodriguez, Mingo Martinez, Johnny Arroyo and Gerald Acosta.
