Albert Villegas

Albert "Peanut" Calderon Villegas, 54, of Odessa Texas passed away on July 16, 2021 in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be held for Albert on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 9am-9pm.  A Rosary will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home Outside Chapel.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 10:00 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery - Odessa II Section.

Albert was born April 26, 1967 in Odessa, Texas to Salvador and Aurora Villegas.

He is preceded in death by his father Salvador Olivas Villegas. His maternal and paternal grandparents and many other beloved family members.

This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful man has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed by his wife Priscilla Perales Villegas and son Joshua Anthony Villegas, of Odessa, Texas. His mother Aurora Calderon Villegas of Odessa, Texas. Brothers: Tony Villegas and wife Olivia from Glenn Heights, Texas, Frank Villegas of Odessa, Texas and Salvador Villegas Jr. and wife Ruby from Hobbs, NM. Sisters: Belinda Porras and husband Joe of Odessa, Texas, Sulema Rios and husband Lupe of Hobbs, NM, Anita Arredondo and husband Roy of Mendota, IL.

Albert will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, cousins extended family and many good friends.

Albert was a 1987 Permian High School graduate and a big fan of Mojo football. He worked as warehouse deliveryman for Lacks Furniture and in an oil-related job for Permian Tank for many years.

Albert was known for his kind and compassionate spirit. He had a passion for animals. He loved his pets and spent quality time bonding with them and showering them with tender, loving care.

Albert was an avid sports and music lover. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees. He loved his rock music and jamming to his favorite rock bands.

Albert's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the health-care professionals at Medical Center Hospital for their care and commitment for Albert over the past month.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Alvarez, Emilio Perales, Porfirio Perales (Jr.), Zeke Perales, Brian Porras and Michael Porras.
