Yvonne Beatrice Jones McGee, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on July 31, 2021 in Odessa, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Thursday August 12, 2021 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 Barrett Ave., Odessa, Texas with Rev. Charles E. Sims officiating. Celebration of Yvonne’s life and legacy will follow at Greater St. John Baptist Church at 212 S. Muskingum Ave., Odessa, TX.

There will also be a final drive by Visitation from 2PM-8PM on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Martinez Funeral Home’s drive-up visitation window, for those of you who wish to pay last respects in that manner.

Yvonne was born in Odessa, Texas to Landers Jones, Jr and Beatrice Paro Bracy Jones on March 10, 1956. She went to Blackshear Jr. High and Ector High Schools in Odessa, TX. She was formerly married to Rev. Charles Martin and later she married Frank Draughan in Odessa, Texas. She worked in the Home Health-care field as an LVN and health care nurse. She was an outstanding member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and was forever faithful to her God-given assignment as a Servant to Humanity. She loved everyone and gave of her heart, home, finances and concern to anyone who needed a helping hand.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her daughter, Datra “Toosie” Martin-Winfield, her parents Landers Jones, Jr and Beatrice Jones, her sister Doris Haynes Cooper, two grandsons, Eric Martin and Koris Draughan, Jr. and a very special family member, Cynthia Patterson.

Yvonne is survived by her husband Frank Draughan, her daughter Presena T. Draughan, her son Koris S. Draughan (Paula), sisters Lydia A. Jones and Junell Jones-Pearson, brothers Landers E. Jones III, Lonnie J. Jones, Sr. and Bryace T. Jones and wife Melanie (whom she considered as her son). Her grandchildren, Keatra Cromer (husband Edward), Brittany Lewis, Ron’Nequa Sims, Teeija Sims, Numbers Sims, Jamar Jackson and Tyshun Doss, as well as our Special family member George Wyatts, 8 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts/uncles, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Devasea Jones, Lonnie Jones, Jr, Jaythan Jones, Dekaree Fourche, Numbers Sims, Jermiah Lewis and Edward Cromer.

Memorials may be given to the family at 212 S. Muskingum Ave., Odessa, TX 79761. The family of Yvonne Beatrice Jones McGee wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. Reddy, George Collins and the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care Desert Milagro, Sam’s Barbeque and to everyone else for your comforting expressions, thoughts, cards, telephone calls and every act of kindness during this celebration of Yvonne’s life.
