Woodie Shepard Sr.

Woodie B. Shepard Sr. went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 8th, 2018 in Odessa, Texas.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Living Vision Ministries Church with Pastor James Porter officiating.
Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery in Odessa II Garden. Arrangements are under Martinez Funeral Home.

Woodie B. Shepard Sr. was born on October 3, 1939 to Sterling and Mary Birdie Shepard in Austin, Texas.
Woodie attended Anderson High in Austin, Texas. He united with St. Peters Methodist Church as a young child. He later united with Parks Memorial COGIC in
Odessa, Texas where he served faithfully. Woodie married Rose Mary Powell on May 31, 1956 to which five children were born.
Woodie owned his own business, Woodie Shepard Landscaping, where he employed others for 50 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, one son and two grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory his lovely wife, Rose of Odessa; four children, Woodie Jr. (Pam) Shepard of Norman, OK; Brenda (Sam) Fields of Odessa; Darrell (Renee) Shepard of Grand Prairie; Patricia of Odessa, 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren, brothers Robert Shepard of Austin, TX;
Audrey Shepard of Daly City, CA, 3 sisters, Dorothy Williams of Daly City, CA, Pat Shepard of Daly City, CA and Gwen Shepard of Oakland, CA.; daughter- in- law Cheri Shepard of Oklahoma and a beloved Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
