Vivian Carrillo Rodriguez, age 64, of Odessa, Texas, surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Vivian was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua on December 2, 1960 to Alfonso Carrillo and Alicia Ortega. Vivian spent his younger years in Paso Lajitas, Chihuahua and Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua. He married Guadalupe (Lupe) Uribe on August 9th in Odessa, Texas. He worked in the construction field for many years then transitioned to electrical work up until his retirement. He loved the outdoors, traveling, cooking out and listening to Ramon Ayala music. He loved to play his accordion and compose songs. Vivian was the life of the party by keeping everyone on their toes with his sense of humor. His hobbies included gardening and carpentry.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Idelfonso Carrillo, Ricardo Carrillo, and Ruben Carrillo, his sisters, Bertha Alicia Carrillo, and Maria Carrillo

Vivian is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Guadalupe Carrillo, daughter Adriana Renteria and son in law Auden Aaron Renteria, his grandson Auden Renteria, his faithful pomeranian companion Simba, Brothers, Felipe Carrillo, Juan Carlos Carrillo, Juan Jose Carrillo, Sister , Carmen Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Edgar Uribe, Jose Isreal Ramirez, Eddie Arzate, Juan Gutierrez, Abel Ramirez, Angel Ramirez, Hector Madrid Jr.

The family of Vivian wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Interim Healthcare for all their help during these past weeks. We would also like to extend our thanks to his personal nurses as he called them his nieces Marily Rodriguez, Emily Nicolas, and Criselda Nicolas for all their help during his illness.

Visitation for Mr. Carrillo will be held from 1pm-9pm Thursday November 13, 2025 with a Rosary being recited at 7PM, at Martinez Funeral Home 1040 S. Dixie Blvd Odessa, Texas 79761,

Mass will be celebrated at 10am Friday November 14, 2025 at St. Anthony`s Catholic Church 1321 W. Monahans St. Odessa, Texas 79761 with Fr. Mike Esner officiating,

Interment will follow at American Heritage Cemetery 4100 FM 1788 Midland Texas 79707

Vivian Carrillo Rodríguez, de 64 años, de Odessa, Texas, rodeada de su amada familia, falleció pacíficamente en su casa el martes 11 de noviembre de 2025.

Vivian nació en Ojinaga, Chihuahua, el 2 de diciembre de 1960, hija de Alfonso Carrillo y Alicia Ortega. Pasó su infancia en Paso Lajitas y Manuel Benavides, ambos en Chihuahua. Se casó con Guadalupe (Lupe) Uribe el 9 de agosto en Odessa, Texas. Trabajó en la construcción durante muchos años y luego en trabajos eléctricos hasta su jubilación. Le encantaba la naturaleza, viajar, cocinar al aire libre y escuchar la música de Ramón Ayala. Le gustaba tocar el acordeón y componer canciones. Vivian era el alma de la fiesta, siempre con su sentido del humor. Entre sus pasatiempos estaban la jardinería y la carpintería.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, sus hermanos Idelfonso Carrillo, Ricardo Carrillo y Rubén Carrillo, y sus hermanas Bertha Alicia Carrillo y María Carrillo.

A Vivian le sobreviven su amada esposa Guadalupe Carrillo, con quien compartió 41 años de matrimonio; su hija Adriana Rentería y su yerno Auden Aaron Rentería; su nieto Auden Rentería; su fiel Pomerania Simba; sus hermanos Felipe Carrillo, Juan Carlos Carrillo y Juan José Carrillo; su hermana Carmen Rodríguez; así como numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas y primos.

Los portadores del féretro serán Edgar Uribe, José Israel Ramírez, Eddie Arzate, Juan Gutiérrez, Abel Ramírez, Ángel Ramírez y Héctor Madrid Jr.

La familia de Vivian desea expresar su sincero agradecimiento a Interim Healthcare por toda la ayuda brindada durante estas últimas semanas. También agradecemos a sus enfermeras personales, a quienes llamó sus sobrinas: Marily Rodríguez, Emily Nicolás y Criselda Nicolás, por todos los cuidados que le brindaron durante su enfermedad.

El velatorio del Sr. Carrillo se llevará a cabo de 1:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. el jueves 13 de noviembre de 2025, con un rosario a las 7:00 p.m., en la Funeraria Martínez, ubicada en 1040 S. Dixie Blvd, Odessa, Texas 79761.

La misa se celebrará a las 10:00 a.m. el viernes 14 de noviembre de 2025 en la Iglesia Católica St. Anthony, ubicada en 1321 W. Monahans St., Odessa, Texas 79761, oficiada por el Padre Mike Esner.

El entierro se llevará a cabo en el cementerio American Heritage, ubicado en 4100 FM 1788, Midland, Texas 79707.
