Sofia Duran

Sofia G. Duran, 78 of Odessa, Texas passed away on May 7, 2014 at her residence.

She was born on Sept. 18, 1935 in El Paso Texas to Enrique and Natalia Gonzales.

She married Benedicto T Duran. She was a housewife, and was involved in the Lions Club and loved to Sew.

Sofia was preceded in death by two sisters Vicky Castillo, Licha Flores and her brother Chefin Gonzales.

Sofia is survived by her husband Benedicto T. Duran of Odessa a Sister Lupe Polici Sons Benny Duran and wife Mary Duran, Robert Duran, Arturo Duran and Henry Duran, Daughters Daisy Reyes and husband Leo Reyes, and Lorie Duran, .

Grandchildren are Leanne Reyes and husband Joe Reyes, Joanna Reyes and husband Jamie Ramirez, Leo Reyes III, Ann Marie Reyes, Sofie Duran and husband Adrian Alaniz, Fabian Duran, Brandon DuranRina, Brian and wife Cynthia Valerie Duran and Marissa Nichols and husband Keith..

Visitation will be on Sunday from Noon to 9:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Rosary will be held on Monday at 7:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Home.

Mas will held on Tuesday May 13, 2014 at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 10:00 Am with Ft. Chavez Officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery Peaceful Gardens Section.

Duran Family wishes to extend its thanks to the Drs and Nurses staff at Lubbock Center University and to the Hospice Staff and their nurses for all their help.
Pallbearers will be Armando Gonzales, Raul Ontiveros, Humberto Jimenes, Joe Reyes, Jamie Ramirez and Fabian Duran.
