Serenity Justice Pineda

Serenity Justice Pineda 11 years old, passed away October 14, 2024. Serenity was born in Odessa, Texas to Jason and Esmeralda Pineda on July 19, 2013. She was truly cherished and loved by many. 

Serenity was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome at the age of 5. Which is a rare genetic disorder that affects mainly females about 1 in 10,000 are affected, this disorder is non hereditary. Although she had multiple medical conditions she was able to survive many years without being hospitalized due to her condition.

Her doctors at Cook Children’s Hospital in Ft. Worth and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston took very good care of Serenity for several years throughout her life.

She also had many private duty nurses and attendants who took very good care of her and loved her so much!!!

 Many friends and family have been in her life and have been emotionally supportive for her family since she was born.

Although Serenity couldn’t verbally express her feelings, she used her beautiful sparkling eyes to express the love and affection she had! Serenity’s dimples and smile let you know she was happy and enjoyed life. Serenity you are dancing with the angels now. 

She is preceded in death by Sister Ambrey Michelle Pineda, Uncles Angel Ray Pineda and Rudy Urias Jr., Grandfather Rudy Urias Sr., Great Grandfather Tony Apodaca, Great Grandmother Micaela Vuelvas, Great Grandfather Juan Vuelvas Cousins Arianie Rose Tijerina, Miguel Grado, Emmanuel “Nano” Urias, and Blas Pineda. 

Serenity is survived by her parents Esmeralda Urias and Jason Pineda, Brothers Johnny Ray Pineda, Isaac Beseril, Isaiah Beseril, Jason Ronquillo, Frankie Ronquillo, Nevaeh Ronquillo, Sisters Destiny Pineda, Faith Pineda, Grandparents David and Norma Gomez, Tony and Darlene Pineda, and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Visitation will be held Monday October 21, 2024 from 1:00PM -9:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00PM. Mass will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday October 22, 2024 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. 

Pallbearers will be Jason Pineda, Isaac Beseril, Isaiah Beseril, Johnny Ray Pineda, Ethan Madero, Elijah Urias, Destiny Pineda, and Julian Tijerina. 

She is now in heaven with her family watching over us. Serenity’s mother and father would like to express their gratitude for their love and support.
