Sarah Burton

Sarah Burton age 93 of Odessa passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday October 9, 2023, at her residence.

Sarah was born on Sunday, November 02, 1929, in Monroeville Alabama to Ceasar and Phenie Lock. She worked for the Ector County Courthouse Janitorial department for 20 years. She also would clean other people’s houses before going to her full-time job at the courthouse. She loved baking. But her main passion was going and singing her favorite hymns at church.

She is survived by her nephew Victor Perkins, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and numerous friends who will miss her greatly.

A visitation has been set for Mrs. Burton as a come and go viewing from 1:00 pm till 9:00 pm. Tuesday October 17, 20203 at Martinez Funeral Home chapel with family gathering from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 17, 2023

 A Home going service has been set for 1pm Wednesday October 18, 2023, with Ministers Gene Collins officiating and George Brown presiding the eulogy.

Cremation will be at a later date.
