Salvador Garza

Salvador "Paco" Valdez Garza of Odessa, Tx passed away February 25, 2019, after 80 years of life.

The Rosary will be at 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Martinez Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory. Food will be provided for family and friends following the services at St. Anthony's Church.

Salvador "Paco" Garza was born in Kennedy, Texas to Juan and Loinisa Garza on December 9, 1938. He lived in Odessa most of his life and was well known in the community; while working in the flooring business as an installer for over 50 years. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting, and cooking out. As everyone knew he also loved a cold 6 pack after a hard day's work but more than anything family and friends were the most important thing to him. He was a generous man throughout his life and helped anyone who needed him. He taught his children that family always comes first no matter the situation. He will forever be loved and cherished by all who knew him.

He is proceeded in death by numerous members of the Garza family; he was the last of 10 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by 4 daughters: Ruby Luna Garza, Nancy Franco Garza, Elizabeth Martinez, and Lonisa Urias Garza; 3 sons: Ruben Garcia, Tony Garcia, and Salvador "Paco" Garza Jr; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Garza, Ruben Garcia, Tony Garcia, Salvador "Paco" Garza Jr., JoAdrian Garza, Eddie Franco Jr.
