Roy Dell Murray, 83, of Calvert, Tx passed away on August 8, 2025 in Odessa, Tx.

Visitation will be August 28, 2025 at Martinez Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M - 9:00 P.M

Funeral services will be held August 29, 2025 at 1:00 P.M at St. James Missionary Baptist Church. Eulogy being provided by Dr. James J. Bolton, Pastor of St. James Missionary Baptist Church and Rev. Dr. R. Timothy McNeil, Sr. Of Community Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are provided by Martinez Funeral Home.

Roy Dell Murray was born in Calvert, Tx to Joe and Lizzie B. Murray the night of October 31, 1941. Roy completed his education in Calvert, Tx. He married the love of his life Gloria Helen on July 27, 1968 in Odessa, Tx. He has worked over 57 years in the following careers. Wire line operator for Otis Engineering, Field Service Coordinator for Haliburton, Co-owner of Health Vitamin Maintenance, and as a custodian for Bonham Junior High School.

Roy Dell is preceded in death by his beloved wife Gloria Murray, Daughter Felonese Gamble, Mother and Father, and dearest siblings.

Roy Dell is survived by his daughter Katina Murray, son Gregory Murray, sister Vrendia Combs and brother-in-law Ollie Combs; Grandchildren Tony Ray Gamble Jr., Tynesha Gamble, Brittany Sneed, Briana Sneed, Daffanie Kinney, Lameshia Murray, Eshinique Henderson, Jeremiah Thompson. 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Roy is also remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and dear friends who loved and cherished him deeply.
