Raymond Williams

Raymond Eugene Williams, 87, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born February 15, 1926 in Kosse, TX to Truman Bessie Mae York Williams.

On July 28, 1947, he married Argie Lee Moore. They moved to Odessa that same year. They were married 58 years before the departure of his wife. Raymond was a truck driver for 62 years. He retired in 2011.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Argie Lee Moore Williams parents, Truman Bessie Williams brother, Kenneth Williams and sisters, Merlene Williams Pride and Cleo Williams Love.

He is survived by his son, Roy Eugene Williams of Odessa daughter, Joyce Marie Judge Eddy Spivey of Odessa brothers, Clevan Dovie Williams and Wyndel Williams, both of Odessa 8 grandchildren 11 greatgrandchildren and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 26, 2013 and Monday, May 27, 2013 from 9 AM 9 PM at MartinezSmith Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 10 AM at St. James Baptist Church with Rev. R. T. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill section of the Ector County Cemetery.
