Ramiro Chavez Aguilera ,68, of Odessa, passed away on December 8, 2023 in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico.
Viewing will be Tuesday December 12, 2023 from 10AM - 9PM and Rosary at 7:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 13, 2023 at 2PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Ramiro was born March 27,1955 in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico to Noe Chavez Hernandez y Aurora Aguilera Reyes. He attended school in Zaragoza and a really young age came over to the US to work. He met the love of his life Juanita Rivera Gomez at the age of 14 and got married on March 20,1976 en Zaragoza. Together they had 4 children. Reginaldo, Leonel, Viola and Julio.
He worked for Permian Tank for 37 year before retiring. He enjoyed being with his family and traveling to Zaragoza to watch the baseball games with his friends, go to the cabalgatas, go fishing or just have a BBQ and talk about his life stories and experiences. He was his grandkids biggest cheerleader. Anyone who met him was never a stranger but a forever friend because his heart was so big and had love for all. His humor and talks will be so missed. The love he had for his Nieces, Nephews and Siblings were of the greatest and most pure.
Preceded in Death his Parents, Sister Viola and Brothers Leonel y Noe Antonio Chavez.
Ramiro is survived by his Wife Janie, Sons Reginaldo Chavez(Melinda) Leonel Chavez(Xochitl) and Julio Cesar Chavez all of Odessa, Daughter Viola Chavez Nicolas(Camilo) of Odessa Brothers Espirion Chavez(Juanita) of Eagle Pass, Texas and Fernando Chavez of Zaragoza, Coah. Sisters Irma Chavez Sanchez(Gonzalo) of Zaragoza, Coah. And Rebecca Chavez Parra of Nueva Rosita,Coah.20 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren 11 nieces and 8 nephews and countless great nieces and nephews.
