Quinlin Rashaud Bess was born on August 5, 1984, in Midland, Texas to Christopher Bess and Margaret Denise Bess.
Quinlin's faith journey began at a young age when he accepted Christ and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend O.J. Archie and participated in the youth choir and drill team. He was an active member of Community Worship Center, under the leadership of Pastor Edward Mayberry.
He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 2003. Quinlin was quite a Football and Basketball player. He gave his everything to those sports. Upon graduation, he played football for the West Texas Drillers.
Quinlin was a Chef and thought he was the world’s greatest cook. He was a member of Young Life. He always had some words to encourage the youth. He worked at Voltagrid as a compressor tech and worked at Michael's Exquisite Catering as a Chef. He was also a serious Cowboy fan.
On April 27, 2025, Quinlin was called home to rest in God's loving arms.
Quinlin is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Denise Smith, his grandfather, James Bess, his grandparents, Abraham Lincoln and Margaret Ann Henry.
To celebrate and cherish Quinlin's memories are his father, Christopher Bess; brothers, Patrick Bess (Jessica), James Bess (Anna), Jordan Smith; sister, Laura Bess; grandmother, Mary Bess; aunts Cathy Hocker (Larry), Katherine Cato (Vernon) ; uncles McArthur Henry (Mary), Steve Henry (Julia); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.
Visitation is set for Thursday May 8, 2025, from 1pm – 9pm at Martinez Funeral Home chapel.
Celebration of Quinlin’s life will be celebrated 10am Friday May 9, 2025, at Mount Rose Gospel Baptist Church (Rev William Palmer) 211 N Tyler St. Midland, Tx. with Rev James Archie from The Spirit Family Christian Worship Center officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Terrance Jackson, Tyrone Jackson, Carl Cooper, Arthur Cooper, Ryan Seago, and Cary Lemons
Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Garden Cemetery 6800 TX Hwy 349 Midland, Tx.
