Phyllis Lynn Eaton 71, of Abilene Tx, surrounded by family passed away Tuesday, October 27th, 2021, in Odessa, Tx. She was a beloved wife, mother, Grandmother, and Great grandmother. Born to Billie Lyn Rhodes and Burma Stroud in Hobart, Oklahoma on March 30, 1950. She was in Graduating class of 1968, High School in Monahans, TX. Phyllis is preceded in death by both parents and her brother Caleb Rhodes. She moved to Abilene from Odessa in 1993, working for the school food service and transferring her time employed with the state and retired with the Abilene prison after a total of 20 years employment in 2016.
She married the love of her life, Jay Eaton in 2008. Together they shared their interest, passions, and their love for their now bigger family of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Phyllis and Jay enjoyed gatherings with friends and family. She enjoyed dancing with Jay and were told by many they were a long-time dancing couple. Other hobbies she enjoyed included shopping at flea markets, antique shops, estate sales, and thrift shops of all types, even when out of town and out of state.
She is survived by her loving husband Jay Eaton of 13 years. Her children, daughter: Lani, and husband Josh Pemberton (North Carolina), daughter: Tina, and husband Fernando Reyes (Odessa). Stepdaughter: Jennifer, and husband Kalen Herzberg(Amarillo), Stepson: Jay Bob Eaton, and wife Reba (Abilene). All her grandchildren: Madison Pemberton (North Carolina), Devyn, and husband Chris Torres (Odessa), Jeylon Reyes and wife Ann Marie, Keslyn Reyes and fiancé Austin Sweet (Odessa), Ashton Reyes (Odessa), Peyton Reyes (Odessa), Eryn Reyes (Odessa), Jayce and Jacob Herzberg (Amarillo), BJ Reagan, Josh Fraser, and wife Keshia, Donny Gee and wife Catherine, and her great grandchildren: Logan and Lennox Torres, Vincent and Hopelyn Reyes, Kylie and Bentleigh Reagan, Kaydence, Adayln and Garrett Fraser, Haillie and Lyndi Gee.
