Pedro Ortiz

Pedro F. Pete Ortiz, 60, of Odessa TX, passed away on August 31, 2013 in Odessa, TX Rosary will be at 7pm on Sunday September 1, 2013, and Monday, September 2, 2013 at Martinez Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday September 3, 2013 at 10:00AM at St Joseph Catholic Church with Father Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pedro F. Pete Ortiz was born in Fort Stockton, TX to Eva Angelina F. Ortiz and Adolfo Ortiz on December 21, 1952. He attended school in Fort Stockton. He married Maria J Ortiz on December 23, 1972 in Odessa, TX. For 30 years Pedro worked in the oil fields of West Texas, and was the owner of Casa Ortiz Restaurant for 10 years. Pedro was involved in Hospice Volunteer, Holy Name, and Pequeos de Maria, he was Catholic. Pedro loved to barbeque and to make brisket, he always had a big heart was ready to make any one laugh.

Pedro was preceded in death by his parents Eva, and Adolfo Ortiz, his sister Rosa Montoya, and brother Jose Luisi Ortiz.

He is survived by his wife Maria Ortiz, his daughters Gracie Ortiz, Jessica Ortiz, Velia Munoz, Patricie Flotte and her husband Joel Flotte , Maria Rojo and her husband Ruben Rojo, and grandchildren Joel Jr. Flotte, Joshua N, Flotte, Pedro Flotte, Bianca Rojo, Biana Rojo, Ruben A. Rojo and baby Eric B Burciaga.

Pallbearers will be Arturo Montoya, Jesus Garcia, Porfirio Carrasco, Javier Carrasco, Jose Luis Jr Ortiz, Adam Ortiz, Tony Ortiz, and Armando Perches.
