Paul Sanders

Paul Roy Sanders, age 75, our most beloved son, brother, family member and friend passed on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Coronado Nursing facility in Abilene, TX. Paul was born January 18, 1947, in Mexia, TX,  Limestone County. Paul was the oldest child and the only son born to Charlie Beil Sanders and Grace Dawson Sanders. He graduated from Blackshear Junior-Senior High School in 1965. Paul received a Bachelor of Science degree from Wiley College, Marshall, TX in 1970. After his honorable discharge from the U. S. Army June 24, 1972, he enrolled in classes at North Texas State University in Denton, TX.

Paul was a very kind and intelligent person and was an avid sports fan. He participated in football, basketball, baseball and track during his teen years and baseball at Wiley College. He was well read and always worked to create techniques to enhance athletic skills. Previously, he worked for Shell Oil Company, the City of Odessa and as a substitute teacher.

He is predeceased by his mother and father and his brother-in-law John Lee Prann.

His survivors are daughters: Melissa Sanders of Odessa, TX and Regina Cunningham (Ray) of  Mesquite, TX; sisters Margaret Jeanette Kenneybrew (Wyndel) of Dallas, TX, Charlesetta Prann and Patricia Sanders Rogers of Odessa, TX; three grandchildren: Rakiya Cunningham of Houston, TX, Rajan Cunningham of Mesquite, TX and Leaven Sanders of Odessa, TX; nieces Carla Cyrus, Kim Cyrus, Michaela Rogers Wallace, Jonte Prann McCrea; nephews Todd Cyrus, Mark Cyrus, Mickey Cyrus, Marty Cyrus, Jason Prann, Marteis Rogers; and many other relatives and friends.
