Oscar Diaz

Oscar Padilla Diaz, 79, passed away on January 20, 2022, in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Martinez Funeral Home with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM. Masks are required upon entering the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 31, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Chavez officiating. Masks are required upon entering the church.

Oscar P. Diaz was born in Chihuahua, Mexico to Don Pascual Diaz and Eleuteria P. Diaz on October 8, 1942. In 1965 he met the love of his life, Emma Valenzuela Diaz. They got married shortly after and had 6 children along with 4 stepchildren. Oscar Diaz, Jr., Javier Diaz, Mario Diaz, Elizabeth D. Sian, Denise D. Avelar, Brenda Diaz, Jose Zorrilla, Alma Zorrilla, Sergio Zorrilla and Sylvia Zorrilla.

We will miss his sweet smile, warm heart, hugs & kisses, and more importantly, his unconditional love. He enjoyed listening to oldies, dancing, spending time with family, and singing… He was the life of the party! His passing leaves a huge void in our lives, but he will forever live in our hearts…

Oscar is preceded in death by his father, Don Pascual Diaz; mother, Eleuteria Diaz; brother, Pascual Diaz, Jr; sister, Alicia Bell; sister Carmen Valenzuela; brother, Roberto Diaz; stepson, Jose Zorrilla, and stepson, Sergio Zorrilla,

Oscar is survived by his wife, Emma; children, Oscar, Javier, Mario, Elizabeth, Denise, Brenda, Alma, Sylvia; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mario Diaz, Javier Diaz, Ben Sian, Jaime Avelar, Mario Gudino, Ramon Diaz, Cristian Diaz, Oswaldo Zorrilla, and Anthony Diaz.
