Nancy Jan Cook

Jan Murr Cook, 82, passed away July 8, 2025, in Odessa, Texas.

Jan was born March 7, 1943, in Hobbs, New Mexico to parents Steve and Esther Murr. She lived in Odessa all her life and graduated from Odessa High School. She was married to Frank Ray Cook for 45 years only to be separated by his death on 2009.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents Steve and Esther Murr, Sisters Carolyn Thomson and Myrna O’dey, and Brother Steven Allman.

Jan is survived by her daughter Cassi Francisco and Husband James, her son Bryan Cook and Wife Olivia, Five grandchildren Amber Bearden and husband David, Matt Franciso, Tyler Cook, Noble Cook, Ella Cook, and Tytan Cook, Two great grandchildren, Noah Shifflett and Jase Shifflett. She also leaves behind her memory many beloved nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday July 26, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
