Miguel Aaron Zavala

Miguel Aaron Zavala, 38, of Odessa, Texas, surrounded by those whom he loved the most. passed away Thursday August 17, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas.

Miguel was born in Odessa to Juan and Olivia Zavala on June 7, 1985. He went to school in Odessa. He married Maria Isabel Zavala on February 2, 2008, in Odessa. He graduated from The Career Center. He worked as an Equipment Operator for ProFrac for 1 and ½ years but spent the last 14 years in the oilfield. He was very active in the car club scene most of his life and was a part of his own car club Insidious for many years, until recently joining the Race Chumps. Miguel loved anything and everything to do with cars and going fast, but his true love and happiness was his family.

Miguel is preceded in death by his mother Olivia R. Zavala.

Miguel is survived by his wife Maria Isabel Zavala, and their 2 children Aiden Zavala, 14 and Aileen Zavala 9. Sisters Ludy Valdez and husband Ricardo Valdez, Martha Salas and husband Antonio Salas, brother Juan Daniel Zavala and wife Monica Hernandez, and his father Juan Zavala all of Odessa.

Miguel also leaves to cherish his memory18 nephews and 7 nieces, 7 great nephews and 2 great nieces whom he adored.

Visitation has been set for Wednesday August 23,2023 from 1pm to 9pm Wednesday August 23 at Martinez Funeral Home.

Funeral service is for 10 am Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Martinez Funeral Home with the Pastor Ray Ochoa of Holy Ghost Fire Church, officiating.

Cremation will be later.       

The family of Miguel wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital in San Antonio for their care this past month. The family would also like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice in San Antonio for their care and compassion.
