Mary E. Vega Carbajal, 79, from Odessa, Tx. born in Big Spring, Tx., passed away on August 12, 2026, in Midland, Tx.

Mary Esther Vega Carbajal was born in Big Spring, Tx. to Catarino and Olivia Vega on March 16th, 1947. She went to Ector High School in Odessa, Tx. She married Bobby Carbaja on March 30, 2017, in Odessa, Tx. While working full time she graduated from Odessa College. She worked for the City of Odessa for many years, starting in sanitation and ending her career as Director of Community Development. In her younger years she played high school tennis, high school band, and was also involved in women’s softball, bowling, and politics. Mary played a role in raising anyone who walked through her doors. She was always there to care for family and friends. Mary was a mom to so many and treated everyone with a rule of being the best version of yourself.

Mary is preceded in death by Catarino Vega & Olivia Olvera Vega, sisters Sylvia Diaz Vazquez, Viola Vega Gonzalez, brothers Jose Vega, Catarino Vega Jr., and Juan (John) Vega.

Mary is survived by her husband Bobby Carbajal, her children Adolfo Dominguez Jr. & Susanna Lopez, Bryan & Sandra Dominguez, Jeremy & Cristina Dominguez, brothers Oscar & Mimi Vega, Rolando & Mayela Vega & sisters Selina Vega, Danette & James Hall. Grand Children Yazmine Dominguez, Jaelyn Dominguez, Jocelyn Dominguez, Monique Dominguez, Great Grand Children Michael Alexander Comer III and Madilynn Garcia.

Visitation will be held Friday August 21st ,2026 from 10:00am to 9:00pm, with A Service of Remembrance, bringing about Words of Comfort and embrace to all family and friends from 6:00pm-6:30pm, by Dear Family Friend: Robert Gonzales, also honoring Mary with A recited rosary from 7:00 PM-7:30 PM by Son Jeremy Dominguez and his Wife Cristina Dominguez, at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services are set for 10:00 AM, Saturday the 22nd of August 2026 at Martinez Funeral Homes Chapel The Dixie Location.

At The Family's Request Cremation has been opted as alternative means of Burial, To Take place at a Later Date.
