Maria De Jesus G. Mancha

Maria de Jesus (Chita) G. Mancha, 72 years young, of El Pueblito, Chihuahua, passed away on February 9, 2024 in Odessa, Texas. She married Guadalupe Alvarez   Mancha on December 31, 1970 in Odessa, Texas. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved to cook and everyone said “Chita’s Tacos” is one of the BEST of many foods she made. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and was a member of St Joseph’s and St Anthony’s Guadalupanas organization.

Maria de Jesus is preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Cliceria Gonzalez, her sister and brother-in-law Martha and Jose Felix Carrillo, her brother and sister-in-law Cipriano and Martha Isela Gonzalez, and brother, Benjamin Gonzalez.

Maria de Jesus is survived by her husband Guadalupe Alvarez  Mancha, her children Jesusita (Chris) Hicks, Yesenia (Anton) Ordonez, Jorge (Andromeda) Mancha, Oneida (Steven) Casias, her sister Ana Maria (Cruz) Mancha, and her grandchildren: Avigail, Diego, Aliyah, Christian, Juanito, Khristali,  Katherine, Katlyn, Jeremiah, Joshua, Channah, Mendel and baby boy Mancha (born February 12, 2024).

Pallbearers will be Diego Hicks, Christian Lujan, Steven Casias, Alex Mancha, Martin Carrillo and Martin Mancha. Honorary Pallbearer is Juanito Casias.

Visitation will be held Wednesday February 14, 2024, from 1:00pm - 9:00pm at Martinez Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Odessa, Texas. Maria de Jesus will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas. 

Maria de Jesus was very loved and will be missed. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all family, friends, and the Guadalupanas and The Brothers of The Knight of Columbus Organization for all the support and prayers.
