Maria R. Alvarado

Maria R Alvarado 72 years old, of Odessa passed away peacefully at her residence Thursday August 28, 2025. She was born October 13, 1952, to Ernestina Barrera and Roberto Rodriguez in Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Eliser B. Alvarado Jr. July 14,1986, in Odessa, Texas.

She worked as a full-time home maker and was a loving mother. She lived a life full of love, kindness, and selflessness. Her children and grandchildren were her entire world, her guiding light, and her most treasured accomplishments.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Ernestina and Roberto Rodriguez; her sister, Francisca Ortega; and grandbaby, Zoey N. Navarrette.

Maria R. Alvarado is survived by her husband, Eliser B. Alvarado Jr; daughter, Evie Alvarado; and son, Eliser R. Alvarado III; sisters, Maria R. Meza and Ernestina Kidd.

Maria also leaves to cherish her memory grandchildren, Adrian Lerma and Destiny Alvarado. Along with several loving sisters and brother-in-laws along with nieces and nephews.

Visitation is set for Wednesday September 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary to follow at 7:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Home chapel with Danny Ortega reciting the rosary.

Mass is set for 10:00 AM, Thursday September 4, 2025, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Mike Elsner officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Eliser R. Alvarado III, George Valerio, Leeroy Valerio, Trine Granado, Gregorio Alvarado and Michael Alvarado.
