Manuel was born in Marathon, Texas to Jose and Leonor Reyes on May 22, 1939. He went to school in Marathon. He married Elida Rodriguez on August 24, 1960 in Alamosa, Colorado. He worked as a counselor for the state of California for 20 years.
Manuel is survived by wife, Elida Reyes, sons, Lancy Reyes and Mark Reyes and 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildlren.
