Julian Luna

Julian Luna, 72 of Odessa Tx, passed on October 3rd in Odessa, Tx.

Julian was loved by many, and he devoted his life to his grandkids and great grandkids. He enjoyed spending all his time watching his grandchildren play sports and making sure to attend all games. He dedicated his life to the youth of Lamesa and Odessa, from volunteering with Boy Scouts of America, South Odessa Little League, he was a volunteer crossing guard for Travis Elementary for many years. He ran Concessions for basketball and volleyball games at Ector Jr. High and Odessa High School. He was known to all as “Grandpa Luna”.

Visitation will be held on Saturday October 16, 2021, at Martinez Funeral Home in the outside chapel, from 1-9pm, memorial will begin at 6pm with a rosary to follow at 7pm.

Julian Luna was born to Ricardo and David Luna in Lamesa Tx, he retired from Plains Marketing after 30 years.

Julian is preceded in death by his very special granddaughter Alexis Lee Luna, Mother and Father Ricardo and David Luna, Sister Joyce Guzman, Rubina Luna, Margaret Navarro, Brothers Antonio Luna, Apliono Luna, Crespin Luna, and Santiago Domingo (James) Luna.

Julian is survived by his son David Luna, wife Liza Luna, Son Alejandro Nuñez and his spouse Monica, his Daughter Theresa Luna. Brothers John Luna, Domingo Luna. Sisters Augustine Garza, Dilfina Luna and Louisa Martinez. Grandchildren Deja Luna, Lorena Hernandez, Juan Valenzuela, Jasmine Luna, Ryan Watson, Ty Watson Ethan and Evan Nuñez. Great grandchildren Ja’Ray Ramos, Alek Hernandez, Asher Hernandez, Katalina Lee, Ryan Watson, Alliyaah Watson, Elijah Watson, Ezekiel Watson, Chadson Valenzuela, J’Aubrey Valenzuela, Kamden, Eliam and Jiovanny.

Memorials may be given to Martinez Funeral Home. The family of Julian Luna wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at ORMC for doing everything they could with our grandpa, to all friends and family that have reached out to us during this difficult time. We appreciate all the prayers.
