Juanita Yruegas Salinas 81, of Ozona Tx, passed away on Feb 4th, 2026, in Odessa Tx.
Juanita Yruegas Salinas was born in Ozona Tx to Jesus Yruegas & Maria Nerviaz Yruegas on January 11th,1945. She went to school in Ozona Tx. She married Jesus Manuel Salinas on March 10th, 1986. They had a very loving marriage. Like all couples, they had their little arguments, but he knew he had to settle down because she was bigger and taller than him. They loved going dancing. They would enjoy their Sunday drives. They would go cruise Clements. Then they would go wherever the truck would take them. Before we knew they were in Crane visiting her sister or in Ojinaga visiting his family. Once they left on vacation and they ended up in New Mexico. Just exploring around seeing new places. They lived life to the very end. Where he was by her side.
She worked as housewife, mother, grandmother loving every moment she spent her kids and grandkids. She would help her husband do odd jobs like running a lawn mower, picking up trash, tree limbs, anything she could do for him she was there. Mother was always there for us kids through thick and thin. Every day after school I remember she would always have each one of a big plate of French Fries. And if we had to take lunch to school. She would make sure our burritos or sandwiches were ready. We can’t forget her tortillas and her food. You could always count on lunch (at noon) and super (at 5) ready no matter what. It was the best. She raised 2 granddaughters as her own and would do anything for them. Doing everything for all her kids. She also couldn’t go anywhere without her one and only perfume Tabu. She loved all kinds of flowers and especially red roses and ivy’s. She enjoyed her Coors Lite occasionally, to relive stress. She was a very loving and caring person. She would take her clothes off her back and food to give to anybody that needed it. She will be missed by all.
